At Theatre Academy of Georgia, we offer the ultimate theatre education experience. We pride ourselves on our nurturing and caring environment that allows children to try new activities and challenge themselves in a safe setting. Theatre Academy of Georgia. We bring performing arts to schools in an after-school format. Our program is designed in two semesters. Semester I runs September through December and Semester II runs from February through May, with a mainstage show at the conclusion of each semester.
This innovative program is designed to challenge both beginners and the more advanced students by focusing on monologue development, character development, improvisation, and scene work. In addition to the performance training and a culminating production, students will learn to:
● Communicate more effectively
● Think creatively
● Increase self-esteem
● Develop public speaking skills
● And, work successfully with others

Curriculum Objectives:
● Develop concentration, sensory perception, and emotional recall.
● Work on vocal techniques for improving articulation techniques.
● Help students understand verbal and nonverbal communication of thought and emotion.
● Build understanding of improvisation and theatre games as preparatory techniques for performance.
● Introduce students to the fundamentals of stage movement and blocking.
● Instruct students on basic character development techniques.
Additional Information:
Cost: $385 for 12 weeks, fees include: one class, for 60 minutes per week, program and production materials.
